Task Force on the Implications of Calling and Salarying of Missionary Spouses 1983-1984.

The records consist of minutes, correspondence, an ecumenical study document, reports, and feedback on the reports. The file of minutes contains minutes for the task force, correspondence about preparations for meetings from Lowell L. Hesterman, who served as recorder, and minutes of the action taken by the BWMIC in regard to the task force report. There are no minutes for the first meeting of the task force. The file of reports includes reports and correspondence of the task force. These reports were circulated for input from missionaries and board. The feedback files contain both written correspondence from missionaries and summaries of feedback gathered at missionary retreats, both in the USA and abroad. The ecumenical study was prepared by Organization Resources Counselors, Inc., and presented the mission salary policies of several denominations. The files were collected by Philip A. Jacobson. Jacobson was business administrator of the DWMIC and a member of the task force.
